From the 10th - 14th centuries the Dane Axe, has been used to strike fear into the hearts of the wielders enemies. Those who did not fear the wielder and blade often fell to the force of the weapon.
The Great Sword was designed to have reach, power, and versatility. A weapon so power when used properly it was at one point outlawed by the Swiss, who were one of the primary
advocates of its use able to cut the points of lances and long spears (pikes) in
battle.
Following last week’s lesson in Florentine Fighting, this week we
will go over the introduction to Two Handed weapons, Dane Axe and Great
Sword!

These warm up lessons are the best, or at least that is what I think. I know that there are people who do not do warm ups, and that scares me. I think that people need to go and do them all of the time. I understand that there are people who do not need them, but most people do. These warm ups, in particular, are just way too good. I seriously believe that it matters, and I hope that it does.
